Cooking Instructions: Ingredients: 2 lb cubed beef for stew; 1/4 cup flour; 2 tablespoons vegetable oil; 3 cups water; 1 (1.5-oz) packet Publix Beef Stew Seasoning Mix; 5 cups fresh cut vegetables (such as potatoes, carrots, onions, and celery); flour (for thickening), optional. Step 1: Coat beef cubes with flour. Add oil and beef to preheated large saucepan. Brown 4-5 minutes over medium-high, stirring often. Drain, if needed. Step 2: Stir in water, seasoning mix, and salt (optional); reduce heat to low. Cover; simmer 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Step 3: Add vegetables; cover and simmer 45-60 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender, and 145 degrees F. Thicken with flour, if desired. (Makes eight 1-cup servings).
