Product Instructions
Stovetop Directions: 1. In a medium saucepan, heat 1-1/2 cups water and 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter or margarine to a boil (melt butter/margarine completely). 2. Stir in contents of stuffing mix pouch. Remove from heat; cover and let stand 5 minutes. 3. Fluff with fork and serve.
Microwave Directions: 1. In 1-1/2-quart microwave-safe bowl, mix contents of stuffing mix pouch with 1-1/2 cups hot water and 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter or margarine, cut into pieces. 2. Cover, and microwave on high 5 to 6 minutes. 3. Fluff with fork and serve. Caution: Bowl will be hot. Because microwaves cook differently, times are approximate.
In-the-Bird Directions: 1. Prepare stuffing as directed on package. Do not stuff bird until ready to roast. Use one 6-lb pouch of stuffing mix per 0- to 8-lb bird. 2. Rinse poultry with cold water. Pat dry. 3. Stuff cavities with prepared stuffing (using approximately 1/2 cup stuffing per lb of ready-to-cook poultry). 4. Roast as directed on poultry wrapper. Stuffing is done when meat thermometer inserted in center of stuffing reaches 165 degrees F. 6. Bake any extra stuffing in separate covered baking dish with bird during last 30 minutes of baking time. Note: refrigerate any leftover stuffing.
