Servings: 2; Water: 2 cups; Oats: 1/2 cup; Salt (optional) (for low sodium diets omit salt): 1/8 tsp. Servings: 4; Water: 4 cups; Oats: 1 cup; Salt (optional) (for low sodium diets omit salt): 1/4 tsp. Stove Top: 1. Boil water and salt. Stir in oats. 2. Cook in 5 minutes uncovered over medium heat or until oats thicken. Reduce heat.3. Simmer uncovered 25 minutes or until desired texture; stir occasionally. Caution: Bowl and contents may be hot. Adjust water or milk for desired thickness.
