Product Instructions
Stovetop Directions: 1. Bring water to a boil, using table below (Add margarine and salt, if desired). 2. Stir in instant brown rice. Return to boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 5 minutes. 3. Remove from heat and stir. 4. Cover and let stand for 5 minutes or until water is absorbed. 5. Fluff with fork and serve. Refrigerate any leftovers. Servings: 2; 1 cup rice; 1 cup water. Servings: 4; 2 cups rice; 2 cups water. Servings: 6; 3 cups rice; 4 cups water. Servings: 8; 4 cups rice; 4 cups water. 1/4 cup uncooked rice = 1 serving (about 2/3 cup cooked rice).
Microwave Directions: 1. In a microwave-safe dish, combine water and instant brown rice (Add margarine and salt, if desired). 2. Cover and microwave on high using times in chart below or until boiling. Do not remove lid. 3. Let stand for 5 minutes or until water is absorbed. 4. Fluff with fork and serve. Refrigerate any leftovers. Servings: 2; 1 cup rice; 1 cup water; 1 quart microwave-safe dish; 7 minutes. Servings: 4; 2 cups rice; 2 cups water; 1-1/2 quarts microwave-safe dish; 9 minutes. Servings: 6; 3 cups rice; 3 cups water; 2 quarts microwave-safe dish; 12 minutes. Microwave ovens vary. Cooking times are approximate. For best results, use stovetop cooking method.
