Product Instructions
Quick Soak: Place 1 lb beans (about 2 cups) and 6-8 cups water in large saucepan. Bring to a rapid boil on medium-high; boil 2 more minutes. Remove from heat; cover and let stand 1 hour. Drain and rinse beans (discard soak water). Overnight Soak: Place 1 lb beans (about 2 cups) and 6-8 cups water in large saucepan. Cover and let stand overnight (or at least 6-8 hours). Drain and rinse beans (discard soak water). Cooking Instructions: Place presoaked beans and 6 cups fresh water in large saucepan; cover and bring to just boiling on medium-high. Reduce heat to low and simmer gently, with lid tilted, about 1-1/2 to 2 hours, stirring occasionally, or until tender. (Makes about 6-1/2 cups cooked beans). Note: Stir very little to prevent skins breaking add water, if needed, during cook time.
